In-person Postpartum Doula Service Includes:

  1. Initial Interview

The interview process can be quick and simple. I want to get to know you and your family and find out how I can best serve you. Ideally, the interview will take place in your home (Refresh Package interviews will be held via video call). I want to see your lifestyle and ask about your birth/postpartum plan and what kind of services you’re looking for in a doula. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know each other and I encourage you to ask as many questions as you need. My goal as your potential doula is to provide you with the best care possible. Even if I’m not the perfect doula for you, I’d love to help you find the one that is.

If all goes well, a contract will be provided either in-person or via email. The contract will state all services to be provided, duration of services, fees, etc. A 50% non-refundable retainer fee is required at time of contract signing. I work on a first come, first serve basis and I’d love to solidify our time together to ensure that you get the support you deserve.

2. Prenatal Visit(s)

Once our work is established, we'll meet to further discuss your goals, expectations, and concerns sometime during the last month or so of pregnancy. We'll revisit my services and offerings and figure out how I can best support you. We'll have an open discussion and I'll answer any additional questions that you may have about my services. During this time, I also encourage the discussion of child birth expectations/those first few hours postpartum/anything, really. No topic is off the table. If time allows, I’m also available to help you check some last minute errands off your pre-birth checklist. Those last few weeks of the pregnancy journey are exciting, but can also be quite overwhelming. As your postpartum doula, I'm here to prepare you to the best of my ability and help ease you into this new role of parenthood.

Additional services/discussion topics during prenatal visit:

  • Postpartum supplies checklist

  • Packing the labor + delivery bag

  • Nursery/home organization

  • Meal planning + prepping

  • Product recommendations

3. Postpartum Support

The postpartum journey varies from person to person, family to family. My job as your doula is to provide you and your family with evidence-based information and to provide support with all of your physical, educational and emotional needs throughout the duration of our time together. As a DONA-trained postpartum doula, I provide overall infant care + knowledge, parental after-birth care, basic breast/bottle feeding education, light household organization, meal prep options and overall family support. (Specific support needs and expectations will be discussed during the initial interview.) I’ve also be trained to screen for all Perinatal Mental Health Disorders throughout my stay and make referrals accordingly. Parental mental health is a top priority within my care.

I truly cannot wait to hear about how I can help support you in this chapter of your family’s story. All questions/concerns are more than welcome. Sliding scale rates and/or voluntary hours may be available based on necessity and will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Supporting my local birthing community will always be a top priority.
